The rehabilitation and social reintegration of an addict is the mainstay of any initiative. Therefore we at Navjeevan have integrated the delivery system for the treatment of addicts like psychosocial counseling of the client and his family /peer groups, programmes for vocational training /rehabilitation and comprehensive programme for after care and follow-up. To attain these objective the center have equipped with a cadre of experts from various fields including Doctors, counselors, community workers, social workers etc. Navjeevan follows a multi-disciplinary approach as per the need of individual cases.
Odisha Khadi and Village Industries Association (OKVA), from its very inception are working in the field of Drug De-addiction through counseling and Rehabilitation. After working for quite a considerable period of time on Drug Awareness & counseling Center supported by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, the Counseling Center has been upgraded to a Treatment-cum-Rehabilitation center in 2003.Befitting the objectives of the programme the center is christened as NAVJEEVAN, which literally means a new life. Indeed the objective of the programme is to give a new life to the clients through treatment and rehabilitation.
